CREATIVE CONCEPT
During my time in Denmark, I have realized one thing - I love Copenhagen. But why do I love it? Is it because you can buy beer at the nearest 7-Eleven? Because efterskole and højskole are an established part of the school system? Or because communal eating is a trendy concept?
The answer is all of the above. Højskole, communal eating and beer as a natural part of Danish everyday life - that's why I love Denmark.
In August 2015, Folkehuset Absalon opened its doors in Vesterbro, Copenhagen. Absalon is a house for the people, where locals and visitors meet and socialize in new ways. Here you can meet your neighbor for dinner, party with friends, or challenge your grandparents to a game of table tennis.
Imagine an extension of your own living room, full of new and old friends, table tennis, music, movies, bingo, food, dancing, coffee, chess, yoga, flea markets, parties, lectures - everything between heaven and earth. It's Absalon!
I wanted to create my own Absalon and bring a bit of the Danish spirit to Sweden.
CREATIVE BRIEF
Rebrand an existing brand or take the opportunity to create a concept of your own dreams.
My answer was - FÄLLES is a place where you can have dinner with both old and new friends at an affordable price. It's a place where you can start your day with yoga and end it with stand-up on stage.
FÄLLES has no defined target audience. It's as much for the 85-year-old who loves to paint as it is for the 23-year-old who prefers to just have a beer. It's for the 9-year-old who likes to read or the 45-year-old whose favorite pastime is bingo.
It's for those with a rich social life and for those who barely know anyone.
